Biography

Gabriell, a first generation Cuban-American, was born and raised in the heart of Miami, FL where he attended New World School of the Arts and received a BFA in acting. While in college, he served as a stagehand for 5 productions at Zoetic Stage at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Downtown Miami, becoming closely affiliated with the company and eventually accepting a position at the theater as an Artistic Associate where he's been involved with new work development, programing, and casting ever since. 

 

In 2021, freshly out of the lockdown, he made his professional acting debut as 'The Creature' in Nick Dear's Frankenstein at Zoetic Stage. Since then, he's been seen in over a dozen professional productions at some of the top theaters in South Florida including Miami New Drama's 20th Anniversary production of Anna in The Tropics written and directed by Pulitzer Prize Winner, Nilo Cruz.

 

He recently made is Off-Broadway debut in NYC with Ronnie Larson's The Actors on Theater Row. Shortly thereafter, he booked his first TV co-star role on the series finale episode of the hit 14-season CBS show, Blue Bloods, as Alejandro Batista.

Gabriell was named 'Best Actor in a Male Role' by the Miami New Times: 'Miami's Best Of' series for his work in Red Speedo, El Huracan, and Anna In The Tropics. He was later awarded a Carbonell Award for ‘Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Lead Male Role’ for his work in Zoetic Stage’s production of Clyde’s by Lynn Nottage.

Gabriell has also explored writing, directing, and producing indie films. He produced/co-directed 'Wat-O' by Armando Santana, wrote/directed/produced 'Off The Record' and directed 'Spin The Bottle' by Ross Kaplan.
